Solving logic puzzles help to improve problem-solving and logical thinking skills. By solving these puzzles, students can also be exposed to some out-of-the-box thinking.
I created 3 free math puzzles printable with answers for the Matchsticks puzzles. As usual, I’m not the brain behind these puzzles, and you may have already seen them elsewhere.

Matchsticks Puzzles
To prevent any association with a matchstick, which can be a dangerous item for kids, I created 3 free puzzles with printable questions that use blocks instead. You can use any wooden blocks to let your students try them, making it a hands-on activity.
Try them first, before peeking into the math puzzles with answer at the bottom.
Answers to Matchstick Puzzles
There are many other matchstick puzzles that you can view and solve. Just search it on Youtube “Matchstick puzzles” and you can see many more.
I would prefer to choose puzzles that have some association with math, i.e. shapes or equations.
But go ahead and do what you think is the best for your class. You can quiz your students with questions that have out-of-the-box solutions during brain breaks or for your gifted and talented students.
KenKen
KenKen is similar to the Sudoku puzzle. But instead of just counting, you will need to use four operations skills to place the number in such a way that no number is repeated in any row or column.
You can play these free logic puzzles online.
A similar game is called Calcudoku.
Multiplication Table Logic Puzzles
You can download many logic puzzles for free at Mashup Math. They provide multiplication table grid puzzles, picture equations puzzles, and many more.
They also have seasonal puzzles that you use during the holidays.
