Percentage Worksheets

Percentages Word Problems Worksheets – Mystery Puzzles

percentages word problems worksheets can be fun with math mystery puzzles

This is not your usual worksheet and students will be engaged as they solve rigorous word problems involving percentages.

Why?

Cause they get to solve a mystery!

Using the correct answer to find the correct clue, students will find out who is the culprit!

There are 3 sets of worksheets of different difficulty levels making it great for differentiation. Rest assured that each set has a different culprit and questions are different. This means 1 student can do all 3 sets of worksheets.

Isn’t that value for money?

Furthermore, it is No Prep, includes a digital option (Easel by TpT), and since it is in black and white, it is economical to print. An answer key is also provided for easy checking.

With a Candy Corn Theme, it is perfect for the fall or autumn season, especially October, when students celebrate Halloween.

Percentage Math Worksheets – Project Based Learning

Testimonial for percentages worksheets

Your alien students need to Plan A Trip To Earth. Students will make their own choice and be engaged when they solve percent problems. My students find this topical Project Based Learning cool and I’m sure yours will too!

Students must make decisions (where to go, what to eat, what to do, where to stay, etc.) and apply their percentage knowledge.

I included an easier version so it will be less complicated for weaker students or for lower grades. Answer keys are provided for reference. However, as answers vary, you will need to check each student’s work individually.

Here are the math skills involved:

  • Percentage of a part
  • Discounts / Extra charges / Simple Interest
  • Percentage increase / decrease
  • Rounding off to 2 decimal places
  • Addition

This real-world application worksheet is great for 6th to 7th grade.
