Here’s how to play this easy Christmas game.
1) Download the free Christmas bingo pdf file.
2) Print the bingo boards and use the answer key as the calling sheet.
There are 3 math skills:
- Converting 12 hour clock to 24 hour clock.
- Rounding to the nearest thousand.
- Rounding to the nearest tenth.
3) Students need to solve the questions.
4) Go through the answers.
This helps to prevent the fuss that will occur every round when students can’t find the numbered call.
5) Cut out the boxes (bingo cards).
6) Paste it randomly on any free space in the grid.
This is a great way to create different game boards as students will place different bingo cards in the same spot.
7) Start the game by calling a random question and have students shout out the answer to revise the math skills again.
8) Put a tick on the answer sheet to record the numbered called.
For pairs, students can take turns picking the bingo cards randomly. Alternatively, you can cut out the extra cards to use as calling cards. Stick it to the board to show the class what is already called so slower students can benefit from it.
9) Students will cross off the numbered called.
10) Keep calling. When a student gets 1 line of connected 5 boxes (vertically, horizontally, diagonally), the student can cross off one alphabet of BINGO to keep track.
11) The first player to get 5 lines and shout Merry Christmas (or just a simple Bingo) wins!
