Get into the spirit of Christmas with these three FREE printable 3d Christmas ornaments pdf templates now! Let students practice math word problems in a fun way with these cute Christmas crafts!
The three 3-D paper ornaments that fit this holiday season are Christmas Tree, Christmas Hat, and Christmas Present.
These free printables require students to solve math word problems, color, cut, and paste. Then you can showcase the finished products in the hallway, use them as Christmas Tree ornaments, or paste them around the class as part of Christmas decorations.
Christmas crafts are a great way to add some fun and pull their attention back to class. They will have the kids jumping at the chance to do them. They’ll be engaged and may even learn a few things along the way.
The math Christmas-themed word problems are suitable for students aged 10 to 12. The solution is also provided.
In this blog post, I will go through with you how to do this free printable 3d Christmas ornaments paper craft using the printable Christmas Tree Template as an example. (Pss…there are some mistakes that I found when completing this craft and have edited them in the final result. Can you spot those errors?)

Step 1: Download the free template.
Grab these free downloads, simply type in your name and personal email and it will be sent to your inbox!
Click on the link in the email to download the pdf file.
Take note that this is only for personal use.
Step 2: Print the free printable 3d Christmas ornaments pdf template.
In the printable template, there are 3 different versions of the same questions (the Christmas Tree has 1 less question and is replaced by a cover).
This means you can split your class into three different groups to create different 3-D Christmas ornaments.
If you want them in different sizes, you can also print them in multiples per page to make them smaller.
Remember to print single-sided, which means to uncheck “print on both sides of the paper”.
Step 3: Solve the questions.
Go through with your students 1 of the questions. They are similar questions which means the other questions are perfect for your students to try out by themselves.
For the perfect Christmas tree decorations, ask students to write their solution on a rough paper or whiteboard first.
After going through the solution, ask them to rewrite the correct solution neatly on the Tree.
Step 4: Color!
Now it is time to add some personal touch by coloring! You can choose to color all 4 of them the same color scheme or different colors.
Step 5: Cut it out!
Cut out the decorated tree along the bold lines.
Step 6: Fold it in half.
Fold all 4 pieces into half vertically.
Step 7: Glue them together.
Glue half of the blank side of the Christmas tree with another half. This means that eventually all the other sides of the Christmas tree will be glued back to back, showing only the printed side facing outwards.
And your handmade ornaments are done!
Isn’t it easy?
