10 Interesting Online Multiplication Games That My Students Found Fun

I created online multiplication games to engage my students as they practice multiplying. Moreover, to give more choices and add some freshness to the lessons, I continue to create, create, create. And before I know it, I created more than 10 games with multiplication facts! In this article, let me share with you the 10 multiplication games that can be played at the Boomâ„¢ Learning platform.

Other than this math gameshow, I have many other math game shows involving multiplications. However, most of them are part of word problems. So, you can use this after students are familiar with their math facts.

Play these math gameshows independently or as a group.

2) Multiplication Game for Kids

This math treasure hunt for kids is a bit similar to the one above. However, this game does not have points and everyone can be the winner. Some of my students like this better because it reduced some conflicts that arise due to the competitive streak in them.

Furthermore, you can raise many other discussions with this resource. For instance, students can learn about classification, vocabulary, and good environmental values.

In addition, you can play this game independently or as a group.

3) Multiplication Christmas Games

This game has 4 different types of games for multiplication facts within it. Students will be engaged as they practice their multiplication fact fluency from 2 to 10 with these math activities for Christmas! Students can play this independently or in pairs.

4) Multiplication Games 3rd Grade Online 

The multiplication game for grade 3 is now full of love! These 26 Digital Multiplication Board Games with love decorations are great for any love-related festive. For example, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Global Love Day.

There are 3 different styles of board games that review multiplication 2 to 9 in a fun and engaging ways. This is great as it saves you the hassle of keeping the boards and counters. 

In addition, you may use this with fast finishers, as a review, or at math centers & stations.

Games are for 2-4 players and counters are included on the board. You will only need 1 dice, be it physical or digital. You may find a digital dice/spinner online, split-screen to use with the board game.

5) Halloween Math Online Games

There are many different types of group games within this resource. Most of the digital games are for 2 players. The good thing about this is you don’t need additional materials like dice or counters.

There are 3 multiplications games inside:

The Halloween math escape room can be used to practice multiplication facts online. In addition, this math escape room activity includes 35 Questions and 5 fun games with multiplication. Students need to solve Multiplication Facts Fluency from 2 to 9 to find the treasure in the Haunted House.

Here’s another one that involves multiplication: 

Operations Escape Room will let your students practice multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction with a Winter theme. There is no mention of Christmas so you can use it throughout the season. Your students will enjoy your lessons with this 3rd Grade math escape room as they solve 6 activities and more than 40 questions!

Students can complete the Escape Room independently or in pairs. 

7) Multiplication Puzzles 3rd Grade

If your students love mazes, this is perfect for them! You can engage your students with these NO PREP, self checking, and interactive digital mazes.

There are 32 Boom Cards, of which 16 are multiplication mazes.

Moreover, these cool math maze games are animal-themed and will be perfect for animal lovers!

Students need to select the correct box as they follow the maze of problems until the end.

Note: you can choose to hide specific cards from your students for differentiation. Alternatively, just ask them to play certain cards. 

9) Multiplication and Division Puzzles Worksheet

Multiplication and Division Puzzles Worksheet comes in PRINTABLE and DIGITAL OPTIONS: Boom Cards & Easel by TpT. It includes 18 engaging and NO PREP printable grid logic puzzles. 

This resource requires students to know how to divide. You can also use it to teach repeated addition or subtraction to introduce the concept of division too. 

There are 2 ways your students can solve these puzzles:

  1. Take the final answer and divide it by a 1-digit/2-digit number at any one time.
  2. Multiply 1-digit number with a 1-digit/2-digit number. Then take the final answer at the side and divide it by the answer.

10) Multiplying 3 digits by 1 digit 

Since it is a fun activity involving multiplication, I also include it in the list.

Basically, this is similar to a math choice board or “Choose Your Own Adventure”. Students can choose what to do with the dogs in the dog shelter.

Students will need to practice three digits by one digit multiplication to complete the action. Your 4th grade students or Primary 3 students will now be motivated and engaged as they have fun exploring the options.

Students can play it independently or in pairs. In addition, you can play this on National Pet Day or any dog-related festivals to celebrate it.
